Rokan Hilir - 11 of homeowners in Pematang Ibul village, Bangko Pusako Sub-district, Rokan Hilir Regency, Riau Province who had been victims of waste oil due to land clearing work alleged from oil company PT Rifansi, a sub-contractor of PT Chevron Pacific Indonesia (CPI) the largest company oil in Indonesia, until now has not received claim compensation.
In this incident, as many as 11 homeowners cracked and one of resident she named Weni (16) the daughter of Anto Lase suffered injuries to the face and hands due to the abundance of collapsed brick houses on Saturday (5/10/2019).
At the time of the incident, Anto Lase homes was aproximately 30 meters from the location. The incident held deep sorrow for the residents and they asked PT Chevron to take responsibility for its actions.
Eleven residents submitted their complaints impact statement and sign it to demand compensation. Until now, the complaints that they had made for residents whose homes and their daughters were affected by the incident, unclear.
Reacting to the news, Communication Manager Chevron company Sonitha Poernomo said, they were also concerned about the incident.
She add, Chevron as a contractor of the Indonesian government was currently carrying out cleaning work in the Pematang Ibul area according to the direction and approval of the Indonesian Government. And also has gained full access from the land owner.
